What is a ‘Standard’ EV Charger installation?

  • Up to 10 metres of cabling run externally
  • Connection at your consumer unit or meter position.
  • Fitting of current limiting clamp and wiring up to 10 metres between charge point and meter.
  • Fitting of cable holders/holster if applicable
  • Connection and commissioning via local WiFi network
  • Test and inspection of the installation

We will fully install, test and commission your single phase charger upto 7.4Kw. 

This includes the clipping/cleating of a cable fixed on the outside of your property up to 10 metres at a maximum height of 2.8 metres, the fitting of a separate consumer unit within your property or external meter box (unless existing consumer unit allows for direct connection), the fitting and connection of your charge point to a wall and accessories where applicable, the fitting of a functional isolation switch,connection and set up of current transformer clamp to monitor Installation loading.

Then we carryout electrical installation test and inspection of the work carried out, commissioning and demonstration of the charge point,claim of the grant on your behalf, electronic copies of test certification and building control notice, notification to your distribution network operator.

Please note where required main equipotential earth bonding must be fitted, the electricity supply & meter must meet minimum required standards, any extraneous metalwork within touching distance of your EV parking space must be insulated or terminated to the same earthing system as the charge point, steady WiFi signal is required at the charge point location to -68dBm or superior, please ensure charge point has curtailment option or you have purchased management device where needed *90% of installs will require load management. Any additional required work can be discussed on site and a free estimate supplied valid for 90 days
