Northern Ireland Electric Vehicle Owners (NIEVO) was founded in 2016. In 2021 the group incorporated, transitioning to the Electric Vehicle Association Northern Ireland CIC (EVANI), a non-profit community interest company.
The group represent the interests of electric vehicle users in Northern Ireland by being a collective voice to work with all stakeholders to proactively identify and highlight the specific issues around ownership and use of EVs and their related infrastructure.Β
The group also promote electric vehicle use in Northern Ireland by increasing public awareness of the benefits of owning and driving electric vehicles and by increasing public awareness of the benefits of EV use to the environment and society.
